Department Overview

We are seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Endocrinologist, in Astoria, Oregon, at Columbia Memorial Hospital (CMH). This is a full-time position working with one Endocrinologist, a diabetic educator and experienced clinic staff.

Columbia Memorial Hospital (CMH) located on the beautiful Oregon coast in Astoria, OR is a full service, 25-bed, critical access, not-for-profit, Planetree-Certified hospital where person-centered care is a priority. CMH has proudly served the healthcare needs of the community for over a century.

 

Combined, the hospital and clinics employ over 600 employees which includes a diverse professional medical staff of more than 70 physicians and advance practice professionals including surgical, non-surgical and primary care specialties.

Function/Duties of Position

We are seeking a Board Certified Endocrinologist to serve the efforts of OHSU and CMH in improving the health of all Oregonians. This position will serve as an OHSU Clinical Associate providing clinical care within the CMH-OHSU Health Endocrinology Clinic in Astoria, OR.

 

OHSU Clinical Associates are fully embedded physicians and advanced practice provider members of the OHSU Practice Plan (OPP) who deliver care at OHSU-affiliated settings and devote 100 percent of their time to patient care. Working in the Endocrinology Clinic, the schedule will be 36 hours of patient care (8 hour clinic days) and up to 4 hours of administrative time each week.

Required Qualifications

  • MD / DO
  • Board Certified / Board Eligible
  • Active Oregon Medical license upon employment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a team of health care providers and collaborate to achieve patient care goals
  • Experience working in an interdisciplinary setting
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other clinicians in the work unit
