Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm with some flexibility possible. This position requires the ability to work remotely, and the ability to report to the OHSU Portland campus for regular and ad hoc meetings and assignments that may be weekly/monthly.

Department Overview

This position provides support to the Research Integrity Office, primarily within the Institutional Review Board (IRB). The IRB oversees/manages the ethical and regulatory review and oversight of research projects involving human subjects. https://www.ohsu.edu/research-integrity/institutional-review-board-irb  

Function/Duties of Position

This position supports the Institutional Review Board (IRB). In providing such support, the Integrity Analyst is exposed to sensitive and confidential information (includes policy violations, compliance issues, investigations, audits, grievances, and matters that impact business decisions that hold a high degree of organizational risk).

The Integrity Analyst provides basic administrative and analytic support to the department by understanding and accurately applying policies and procedures to a variety of responsibilities, including: 

  • incoming questions and issues;
  • review of submissions and transactions for completeness and basic compliance;
  • creating metrics and data analysis;
  • writing and updating policies, procedures, and other reports and documents;
  • preparing training materials and providing training; and
  • other projects and duties as assigned. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 years of experience administering or coordinating parts or subsets of a project or program.
  • Experience working with highly sensitive and confidential information and projects.
  • Advanced MS Office skills including creation of advanced templates, charts, graphs, tables, and forms for executive review.
  • Ability to learn and understand a variety of software applications and data analytic procedures to support the integrity programs.
  • Ability to appear at the workplace, ready to work, on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Exceptional people skills. Ability to interact in a positive, productive manner with others (demonstrating sensitivity, tact, and professionalism).
  • Ability to deal effectively with difficult situations.
  • Ability to analyze information and construct an action plan to effectively and cooperatively resolve issues.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Effective organizational abilities, oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate and communicate effectively while meeting multiple deadlines and completing projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project/program coordination within a research setting
  • Complex academic medical center experience.

Working conditions: Typical office environment; regular work hours to be coordinated with manager. Travel to OHSU committee meetings and various locations on OHSU Campus on a regular basis.


Physical demands & equipment usage: Ability to sit for long periods of time and to travel to various buildings, offices, and laboratories on the OHSU Campus; use computer for most of the work shift.
