Function/Duties of Position

As a member of the Department of Molecular and Medical Genetics the Clinical Geneticist will report to the Department Chair, and will be responsible for duties in the areas outlined. This position will pursue and execute scholarly and service activities including instruction, clinical practice, community service and administrative duties for the department; instruct medical, dental, nursing, graduate students, and house staff; engage in scholarly research activities directed towards the understanding, detection, and treatment of disease; serve on School and OHSU committees as approved by the Chair; engage in such public service as will benefit the community and the University; and serve in such administrative functions as may be assigned by the Chair.

Required Qualifications

  • MD or equivalent degree
  • ABMG active candidate status or certification as a Clinical Geneticist
  • BLS Certified
