Function/Duties of Position

The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.

 

Clinical: This position serves as a Structural Cardiologist in the Interventional section. Duties include outpatient clinic, inpatient cardiology and cardiology consult service rotations. Additional duties will include in imaging and echocardiography. Other areas of clinical duties may be available depending on need and interest of applicant.

 

Education: OHSU is a teaching institution and as a faculty member, you are expected to provide mentorship and direction to students, residents, fellows and staff. The Graduate Program Director will provide any official assignments.

 

Research: There may be options for you to explore research opportunities in your area of focus. Administrative support is available for grant submission, financial management and clinical trials support. Please share your research interests during the interview process.

 

Administration:  Administrative duties may be assigned to you in support of Institute or section initiatives, faculty development and/or other activities as determined necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed MD/DO
  • Active DEA Certification
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology or related specialty

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience practicing in an academic health facility is preferred
