Transplant/Urology/Plastics (4A) is an acute care unit specializing in solid organ transplant (kidney, pancreas, and liver), complex plastic reconstruction surgeries, urology, and nephrology diagnoses and related surgeries. The patient population ranges from 18 years of age to the elderly.
The Certified Nursing Assistant is part of the multi-disciplinary team providing care to OHSU patients. The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct or general nursing care to patients from admission through discharge under the direction of a licensed Registered Nurse and within the scope of practice defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing. They assist the patients, patient’s families and friends, nursing staff, and other OHSU personnel to assure the delivery of comprehensive quality care in a safe, confidential and comfortable environment.
