This position provides executive oversight for the pharmacy department including business intelligence, informatics, and project management in partnership with the Chief Pharmacy Officer. This position directs and improvises strategic visions, expanding clinical and operational & financial planning to ensure pharmacy centered care aligned with missions, values and objectives for the department and OHSU. The primary responsibility of the role is identifying, creating and evaluating business development opportunities that will grow and optimize the enterprise and designing the business models to capture the opportunity. Key accountabilities for partnership development, new service capability development, portfolio management, feasibility studies, and due diligence assessments.

• Advanced pharmacy degree (MS or MBA) or equivalent experience
• Oregon Pharmacist License
• Pharmacy practice residency or equivalent experience
• Minimum 10 years in a Pharmacy management positions
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the role of pharmacy services across the department
• Comprehensive understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the professions represented within the Department of Pharmacy Services
• Comprehensive knowledge of and ability to apply the principles and practices of business, financial and human resources management
• Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards
• Comprehensive understanding of the application of information management and technology in pharmacy practice and medication use systems
• An understanding of the educational and scholarly mission of the Department of Pharmacy Services as part of an academic health sciences center
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to spend a significant amount of time at a computer terminal
• Must deal with situations on a daily basis with a high degree of intensity
• Ability to deal with frequent interruptions (work is often dictated by external factors) that may lead to mental fatigue or stress
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
