Department Overview

Columbia Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Astoria, on the beautiful northern Oregon coast, is a full-service, critical access, not-for-profit, Planetree-Certified hospital which shares a collaborative relationship with OHSU. 

Function/Duties of Position

The OHSU Clinical Associate will function as a clinical cardiologist at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria, Oregon. 

 

Duties will include in- and out-patient activities, cardiac consult services, interpretation of echocardiograms, nuclear studies, stress tests, device and medication management as required to provide high-level clinical care to cardiac patients. Fair share of call coverage is expected.


Will also participate in clinical or research activities at OHSU in conjunction with clinical need and research interests. Occasional travel to OHSU main campus or other outreach facilities may be required.

Required Qualifications

  • MD/DO Fellowship in Cardiology
  • Experience as clinical cardiologist or general cardiologist
  • Competencies in echocardiogram, stress test, cardiac device and medication management
  • Oregon Medical License, Board certified/Board eligible in Cardiology/Cardiovascular diseases
  • DEA Certificate
  • ACLS/BLS as required for clinical privileges
  • WA Medical License within 6 months of start date

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interpretation of ABI and Warfarin management
