Reporting to the director of pharmacy services, this position is responsible for the day-to-day Inpatient operational management of adult and/or pediatric hospital pharmacy services and specifically day to day management of central pharmacy. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, employee supervision; education and training of staff; program development; management of business and professional activities of the pharmacy; quality assessment and process improvement; and maintenance of practice standards, customer service, compliance with accreditation standards and applicable laws and regulations; designated liaison for coordination of pharmacy services with interdisciplinary hospital departments, and teaching of pharmacy interns and residents, and staff.

• Pharmacy, BS, PharmD
• State of Oregon Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License
• Masters or Pharmacy Residency + 2 yrs work in hospital pharmacy
• Communication, written and verbal skills
• Supervision experience
• Contemporary Practice of Pharmacy
• Ability to spend a significant amount of time at a computer terminal
• Must deal with situations on a daily basis with a high degree of intensity
• Ability to deal with frequent interruptions (work is often dictated by external factors) that may lead to mental fatigue or stress
• Standing, walking, stooping or crouching, reaching, talking and hearing
• Clarity of vision at 20 feet and 20 inches or less.  Adjustment of eye to bring object into sharp focus
• Ability to handle 1 – 5 pounds by hand continuously
• Telephone, copier, fax, personal computer/terminal, common application software
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
