The OHSU School of Nursing in Ashland is located on the Southern Oregon University campus, a nationally renowned liberal arts and science college located in the foothills of the Siskiyou Mountains. Ashland is 286 miles from Portland. This campus offers three programs: two to complete the Bachelor of Science with a Major in Nursing degree and a third to complete an Accelerated Bachelor's to Master's program (Family Nurse Practitioner).
Faculty participate fully in the teaching mission of the School of Nursing; specific activities and responsibilities are based on rank. Faculty can expect to be hired at the ranks of Lecturer through Assistant Professor, though may be hired at a higher rank with extensive academic experience. Ranks are based on education and experience. Faculty members are also expected to participate in service to the school, including student advising.
