Function/Duties of Position

The Research Project Coordinator will manage multi-center clinical trials in the Division of Trauma, Critical Care & Acute Care Surgery. You will work closely with the Chief of Trauma and study PIs. Responsibilities include:


  • Overseeing implementation of the Prehospital Kcentra Study in 8 hospitals across the US including training personnel at each site. Ensures protocol compliance at each site.
  • Maintains regulatory compliance with the FDA, IRB, and Department of Defense, and works with the Data Coordinating Center on required report to each regulatory entity
  • Ensures subcontracts are established with each clinical site and manage the $15M
  • Additional responsibilities will include overseeing other Division of Trauma clinical trials initiated by OHSU faculty or in collaboration with other institutions. This may include protocol and budget development.

This position reports directly to the Trauma Research Manager with a dotted line to the Department of Surgery Research Administrator. 

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in relevant field and 1 year of relevant experience; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Experience with management and oversight of grant-funded projects
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a multi-task environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Meticulous detail to data and study procedures
  • Ability to prioritize work demands and trouble shoot

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Trauma or Emergency Medicine research
  • Experience with OHSU eIRB and eCRIS
  • Experience with submitting initials protocols and annual reports to the FDA
  • Experience with ClinicalTrials.gov set-up and reporting
  • Experience with EFIC research
  • SoCRA, ACRP, or NCURA certification
