Function/Duties of Position

The Layton Aging & Alzheimer’s Disease Center in the OHSU Department of Neurology is recruiting a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor to join our well-established and growing center. This faculty member will have opportunities to participate in the clinical and research activities of the NIA-funded Oregon Aging and Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, ORCASTRAIT Roybal Center, Oregon Center for Aging and Technology (ORCATECH) and other center initiatives.

 

This position will be approximately half clinical and half research. Clinical duties include outpatient clinic shifts, teaching medical students, neurology residents and geriatric neurology fellows.

 

Research activities may be investigator-initiated or come from existing projects if the applicant does not have a funded research program. A broad range of research opportunities are available, including such topics as neuroimaging, biomarkers, technology-assisted assessments, geriatric neurology, genetics, neuropsychology and neuropathology.

Required Qualifications

Board certified physician or eligible in Neurology and fellowship trained in Geriatric Neurology, Dementia or Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology or equivalent experience
