The OHSU School of Nursing in Ashland is located on the Southern Oregon University campus, a nationally renowned liberal arts and science college located in the foothills of the Siskiyou Mountains. Ashland is 286 miles from Portland. This campus offers three programs: two to complete the Bachelor of Science with a Major in Nursing degree and a third to complete an Accelerated Bachelor's to Master's program (Family Nurse Practitioner).
The Clinical Faculty member collaborates with a team of nurses, nurse practitioners, and nursing students to provide a direct access point to care and holistic nursing care services to the unhoused community. Using harm reduction and trauma-informed approaches, this person works alongside students to provide outreach, assessments, care coordination, and telehealth. Additionally, this person provides instruction to students on the complexities of homelessness and effective evidence-based approaches to help improve the health of the population.
This is an ‘as required’ faculty position designed to cover short term needs on a term by term basis. The hours may vary as required. Participates in the teaching mission of the SON; specific activities and responsibilities are based on rank.

Lecturer (BSN or equivalent): $35.59 - $43.85
Instructor (MSN or equivalent): $43.93 - $53.04
Assistant Professor (MSN/DNP or equivalent): $47.01 - $66.75
Clinical Activities (not related to teaching or research): Plans and supervises student clinical experiences or practice based on teaching assignment. Works with the team to create and implement street nursing clinical curriculum for undergraduate nursing students.
Other Activities: The appointee provides services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.
