Department Overview

This position works will work in collaboration with Pathology and Registration to create Medical Record Numbers and enter patient information for students who are doing weekly testing for Portland area schools.  This position also serves as a point person for parents for questions related to registration for the project. 

Function/Duties of Position

  • Gather, verify, or correct errors for any patient information including demographics, guarantor, emergency contacts.  
  • Complete reverification, udpates, and/or new patient registration from patient work queues, email, or inbasket as assigned.
  • Assist with scanning and/or documentation updates as directed by the project team. 

Required Qualifications

  • Six Months of recent experience in a medical office and/or medical billing setting, including high-volume direct patient contact, scheduling and/or registration, claims processing, and/or managed care authorizations; OR
  • One year of work experience in a high volume direct public contact position.  

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 key by touch
