Oregon Health & Science University is a nationally prominent research university and Oregon’s only public academic health center. As a major regional referral center, OHSU has a varied caseload. The surgical lab processes over 43,000 surgical specimens per year. The Department of Pathology has a collegial faculty, AP/CP residency program, a post-sophomore fellowship program, and five post-graduate fellowship programs. We are supported by excellent molecular genetic laboratories and state-of-the-art core laboratory. OHSU offers a variety of collaborative research opportunities and is home to the Knight Cancer Institute, an international leader in research and cancer treatment.
This position will be assigned to the Anatomic Pathology Division, with principal responsibilities in Surgical Pathology, which operates under a subspecialty sign out model. The responsibilities include the clinical service and teaching functions of the sections, as well as sharing evening and weekend call on an equal basis.
Service and other assignments will be reviewed and modified by the department Chair, as needed.
