Elderly adults experiencing changes in behavior and emotions need specialized care in a safe and supportive environment. The inpatient geriatric psychiatry facility at Hillsboro Medical Center provides coordinated care for the unique needs of older adults need of short-term crisis stabilization to improve their quality of life and well-being.

 

The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.

 

This position reports to (supervisor): David Douglas, MD

 

The primary function of this position is to provide inpatient direct clinical care in the inpatient setting to geriatric patients. This position is located at a newly redesigned Geriatric Psychiatry Clinic at Tuality Hospital in Hillsboro, an OHSU partner. 

 

Included in those duties are to supervise fellows and residents in the clinical care of geriatric psychiatry patients. 

• Must be a licensed Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the State of Oregon.
