Inventory Maintenance:

The Research Project Manager sits on OCCYSHN’s Systems and Workforce (S&W) Development team. The Research Project Manager actively promotes the health and well-being of CYSHCN through: health-related strategies across systems to improve the integration of care for CYSHCN through:
- Development and management of projects and programs that improve the integration and coordination of systems and services serving CYSHCN and their families.
- Informing state and community level organizations on policies and practices that benefit CYSHCN, with a focus on optimal physical, mental and developmental health for CYSHCN

IMAGING:
- Provides quality images with accuracy and efficiency, using optimal skills and knowledge of all equipment.
- Technologists will be trained in all general radiology exams/areas so that they are able to rotate through the department based on workflow needs.
- Utilize the VIP transportation system to arrange for patient delivery.
- Positions patient for diagnostic radiology exams according to department procedures, training, and machine requirements with a high regard for the safety and care of the patient.
- Operates radiology equipment, determines and sets exposure factors, sets technique utilizing all relevant factors to ensure accurate and quality images with minimal and acceptable repeat rates.

The Faculty Recruitment Associate works closely with the KnightHR team (administrative operations, recruitment, and HR) to ensure there is a constant, generalist support structure on various requests across the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute. Their primary focus will be recruitment and generalist support for the KnightHR team. They will be willing to support any request across from the team to help move business initiatives forward. This role will report to the SR HR Manager at the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute.
Key Responsibilities:
- Faculty and Staff Recruitment Associate - Manage recruiting and staffing efforts for Faculty and Staff positions by partnering with hiring managers. Source and screen applicants, check references, and send offers of employment. Research, interview, select, and manage relationships with staffing firms and agencies as needed. Advise on appropriate avenues and post jobs to external sites.
- Department Coordination – Act as the primary coordinator support across the OHSU KnightHR team to ensure that requests and tasks are being completed promptly. Act a back-up across the team to ensure there is always coverage. Ability to learn and develop quick-thinking skills to move quickly through all processes. This position is under the supervision of the Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology. The duties of this position are in support of the missions, goals and objectives of OHSU and the School of Medicine and include: teaching medical students, house staff, paramedical personnel and the regional medical community; providing clinical care to patients of the University Hospital and Clinics, and affiliated hospitals and clinics; engaging in public service through consultative activities with non-university groups as approved by the Department Chair. Specific duties include caring for comprehensive ophthalmology patients and providing staffing to residents who care for such patients. Clinical practice is largely expected to focus on comprehensive ophthalmology at CEI’s satellite location in Astoria, Oregon.
- Lead the ongoing growth of the OHSU research and academic emergency preparedness program. Develop and coordinate training for OHSU staff, at OHSU, in the community, and at the Center for Domestic Preparedness to include but not limited to HAZMAT, Mass Casualty Incidents, Pandemic and Radiological.
- Ongoing development of emergency management disaster assessment processes to measure University –wide capabilities and ensure assessment recommendations are prioritized into program goals and implemented in conjunction with a formalized OHSU emergency management policy.
- Plans and coordinates training and implementation of emergency exercises and drills to ensure staff understanding and appropriate and effective responses in the event of an emergency.

This position provides the services of a licensed pharmacist who is responsible for supporting safe medication practices for patients who utilize services in the ambulatory hospital at Center for Health and Healing Buildings 1 and 2, receive infusions in Doernbecher Children's Hospital and OHSU Rheumatology Infusion Center. The pharmacist is responsible for the safe and proper distribution and use of medications in inpatients and outpatients who range in age from neonates, infants less than one year of age, children and adolescents ages 10-18, adults ages 19-65 and the elderly over age 65.
This position is to function at higher decision making and accountability levels regarding medication therapy, proactively affecting medication use by making recommendations at the time prescribing decisions are being made or, in some cases, making independent decisions about medication therapy in cooperation with other healthcare team members. Additional services provided include facilitatation of medication reconciliation, discharge counseling, and medication delivery through coordination of care from admission to discharge. The pharmacist must possess strong communication skills for patient education and work collaboratively with inpatient and outpatient interdisciplinary teams including but not limited to providers, nurses, case workers, pharmacists, and technicians, as well as, the teaching and precepting component of students, interns and/or residents.
This is a flexible model where coordination of care for the patient as he/she transitions from one aspect of the medication use system to another is integrated with traditionally centralized functions, such as order entry/verification. This coordinated care model will continue to evolve as part of an integrated decentralized patient care practice.
The non-OHSU student worker will receive training in procedures common to a biohazard immunology research lab, and assist the sponsoring group by helping with paperwork, organizing, cleaning, data analysis, simple laboratory tasks. As competency is demonstrated with basic skills, the worker will be given progressively more challenging assignments, including cell isolation from clinical specimens, and the creation of fluorescently-stained samples for flow cytometry, operation of flow cytometers, &/or simple computational/database analyses.
