The trauma, critical care and acute care surgery advanced practice provider (APP) is a faculty member in the Division of Trauma, Critical Care & Acute Care Surgery. In this role, the selected candidate will work as part of a high-performing Trauma team in the Level I Trauma program at Oregon Health & Science University. The hospital is a tertiary referral center with a robust group of consultants and specialists. The selected candidate will fulfill a critical role on the Trauma team, providing patient care across the continuum, including inpatient care in the Trauma Acute Care Unit (TACU), Trauma/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (TSICU), Emergency General Surgery (EGS) ACU Trauma/EGS outpatient care. The appointee works in partnership with faculty physicians, fellows and residents to provide excellent clinical care and customer service to patients; works in conjunction with physician faculty and OHSU leadership to provide services to further the University’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, and public service as well as the department’s and OHSU’s goal of providing effective and efficient care. This position will work cooperatively with nursing staff to provide education, continuity, and quality improvement initiatives.
