Department Overview

A postdoctoral research position is available in Dr. Liman Zhang’s lab. The Zhang lab strives to address the molecular basis of the immunological events that are triggered by pathogen infection and cancer development. We’ll investigate these events by combining structural approaches with biochemical, biophysical and immunological analyses. These studies will enable us to better understand the regulation of immune system and will aid in development of structure-assisted therapeutic applications in infectious diseases and cancer.

The successful candidates are expected to work independently. Applicants with backgrounds in biochemistry, structural biology and computer science are welcome to apply. For those who have limited cryo-EM experience, excellent training will be provided in Zhang lab and the Pacific Northwest Center for Cryo-EM (PNCC) at OHSU.
