Reporting directly to the A/V Production Manager, the employee will be responsible for providing service, troubleshooting and support for core EdCOMM applications and systems, including video recording, video and web conferencing, video streaming and audio/visual equipment set-up such as projectors and sound systems. The role will encompass activities such as helpdesk support (triage, phone troubleshooting and/or on-site resolution), video recording (needs assessment, equipment set-up and tear-down, video recording, editing and delivery via the pertinent media outputs), video and web conferencing (testing, set-up, facilitation, troubleshooting and systems support), video and web streaming (set-up, editing and delivery), and audio/visual equipment maintenance and support. Additional functions required of this position are primary classroom technology/systems, multimedia services and AV support on the Marquam Hill and Waterfront campus. This is a detail-oriented technology position but it is expected that the employee has knowledge of and will become more skilled at understanding video quality standards, distance learning best practices and classroom facilitation techniques and be able to articulate that to EdCOMM’s customers. This position requires both technical and artistic skills utilized in a production setting and a high level of autonomy.

The employee must have excellent time management and customer service skills and a working understanding of effective communication techniques through the utilization of visual communications.
