OHSU Specialty Pediatric Float Pool nurses provide high-quality, innovative and compassionate family-centered nursing care. Pediatric Float Pool nurses support pediatric acute and critical care units (in some cases also Mother-Baby, pediatric Emergency Department, and pediatric PACU). Pediatric Float Pool nurses support these units for selected planned and unplanned absences and for other staffing deficits.
The Transition to Practice (TTP) Specialty Fellowship Program is designed for RN’s with at least one year experience outside of pediatric float pool and pediatric intensive care.

Organizational staffing needs and individual nurse’s prior competency and request for expanded clinical specialty knowledge and skills will be considered for floating to Mother-Baby, pediatric Emergency Department, and pediatric PACU.
