Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Department of Psychiatry welcomes you to consider joining our growing Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic and Avel Gordly Center for Healing. We are seeking a full-time board-certified/eligible Psychiatrist, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team in the provision of ambulatory psychiatric care. An ideal candidate is a dynamic clinician/educator interested in system-based care approaches, complex cases and care improvement efforts, driven to seek out and integrate current evidence and scholarly findings in their practice and teaching in furtherance of the university’s mission of excellence in education, research, clinical care, outreach and public service. Faculty are eligible and encouraged to fulfill roles in the department's and clinic's strategic care initiatives such as in interventional psychiatry, collaborative care, etc.
The OHSU Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic (OPC) is located in SW Portland and is comprised of a collaborative groups of psychiatrists, PMHNPs, physician assistants, psychologists, neuropsychologists and a group of 20-24 psychiatry residents (PGY2-PGY4). The clinic offers access to an expanded array of treatment facilities and methodologies, providing expert consultation, evaluation, and treatment for a wide variety of mental health conditions including: mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, trauma-related disorders, somatic symptom disorders, ADHD and others.
The Avel Gordly Center for Healing (AGCH) is located in SW Portland and is comprised of psychiatrists and licensed professional counselors. ACCH mission is to:
AGCH services include psychiatric evaluation and medication management, individual psychotherapy, couples, family, and group therapy, as well as community training to build support networks.
This position reports to (supervisor): Adult Outpatient Clinic Medical Director and Avel Gordly Center for Healing Medical Director

This is a 100% clinical position with shared responsibility across both the Adult Outpatient Clinic and Avel Gordly Center for Healing. This incumbent will be responsible for providing flexible support across these programs as the needs of the clinics change. The incumbent will be responsible to:

Recruitment Process:
The recruitment process will include brief meetings with 1) the clinic medical director 2) the clinic manager and 3) a panel of 2-3 teaching faculty. Ideal candidates will then be invited to participate in a resident supervision session prior to meeting with the Chairman of our department.
