Oregon Health & Science University is a nationally prominent research university and Oregon's only public academic health center. As a major regional referral center, OHSU has a varied and challenging caseload. The surgical pathology lab processes over 43,000 surgical specimens per year. The Department of Pathology has a collegial faculty, AP/CP residency program, a post-sophomore fellowship program, and five post-graduate fellowship programs. We are supported by excellent molecular genetic laboratories and a state-of-the-art core laboratory. OHSU offers a variety of collaborative research opportunities and is home to the Knight Cancer Institute, an international leader in research and cancer treatment.
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory medicine at the Oregon health and Science seeks applications from biomedical scientists or physician-scientists to fill a research-focused tenure-track faculty position. Primary responsibility will be to develop and sustain extramural funded research program and participate in research training and education. Service responsibilities include participation in committees and councils of OHSU; outreach and public service programs and professional societies. This position does not include clinical service coverage.
Candidates with MD, MD/PhD, or PhD degrees are eligible.
This position is under the overall supervision of the Department Chair. The appointee shall provide services, as assigned by the supervisor, in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.
