The Export Compliance Specialist (ECS) is an advanced professional resource providing specialized and detailed guidance, review and final determination/resolution of assigned activities and projects to ensure conformity with federal and state regulations and OHSU policies. The ECS assists the Export Compliance Officer (ECO) in developing, promoting and tracking procedures to ensure compliance with US export control regulations as well as related programs for international shipping, travel and collaboration. The role will engage broadly across the entire University including with faculty, students, departmental research offices, administrators, and other stakeholders.
This position requires the ability to work remotely; travel to the Portland metro area may also be required, including exposure to laboratory environments.
Education:
Experience:
Four years of related experience.
Note: for internal applicants only: 8 years of relevant experience and previously demonstrated ability to consistently meet the performance standards described above will be considered in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree requirement.
