To provide support in preparing the cash deposits from 16 units as well as preparing numerous reports associated with the cash counting function on Marquam Hill and at CHH2. This position will also assist in other office duties including but not limited to entering IBS data, preparing meal cards, and distributing paychecks.

Function/Duties of Position

  • Banks at Marquam Hill and CHH2:
    • Count and verify banks daily.
    • Prepare deposit paperwork and email to Cashiers Office daily.
  • Reconciliation:
    • Process end of day reports, balance cash transactions and reconciles all cash, checks, credit cards, and online charges. Locates and resolves issues and corrects before posting to general leger. Analyzes, researches and resolves issues between micros and general ledger transactions.
  • Data Entry:
    • Enter Par/floor stock into database daily.
    • Process interdepartmentals daily.
    • Prepare several retail reports, including but not limited to sales, transaction counts, over/under, and online charges daily.
    • Prepare month end reports.
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Checking and responding to food card emails.
      • Creating meal and gift cards
      • Generating usage reports
      • Refilling meal and gift cards
    • Retrieving/sorting/distributing paychecks/earning statements.
    • Assisting with other office tasks as needed:
      • Entering IBS transactions
      • Scanning invoices
      • Other assignments as needed 15 Yes
  • Farmers Market and Subsequent Accounting (June through September)

Required Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of bookkeeping experience which includes cashiering and/or cash handling or completion of college level bookkeeping courses and 6 months bookkeeping experience, including extensive cashiering and/or cash handling. Experience working with the MICROS cash system.
  • Ten key, Computerized point of sale systems (cash registers), and basic excel experience
  • Compliance with Code of Conduct, Respect in the workplace and Applicable policies, procedures and agreements related to position, department or OHSU as a whole
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with the MICROS cash system.

Additional Details

Salary Range: $22.50 - $30.45 per hour

  • Working 5 days/week generally Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (but may include some weekend shifts, 5:00 am – 1:30 pm shift, or Tuesday-Saturday shift), requiring work in an office setting and walking throughout the day including to CHH2.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of the shift, ability to operate a 10 key, calculator, as well as operate a computer for Excel and basic email operations. Ability to walk between departments on Marquam Hill and at CHH2.
