This position provides primary clinical care in the Center for Women's Health primary care clinic. This position works with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive primary care to women, both adult and adolescent. This care may expand to male patients. This faculty member is expected to provide an outstanding level of clinical performance. The expectation is that clinical performance be delivered in a manner that is compliant with appropriate regulations and guidelines (JCAHO, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, and all other state, federal, and institutional regulatory guidelines).
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a faculty member credentialed and privileged as a Physician Associate/Assistant (PA) or an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) (in a respective Specialty area; i.e., Nurse Practitioner (NP), Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)). The APP is a member of the OHSU Professional Staff practicing in accordance with the respective bylaws. The APP shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. The APP is expected to comply with scope of practice, other laws, regulations, OHSU policy, and other applicable professional standards of practice.
