Department Overview

Hillsboro Medical Center (HMC) and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) are seeking a General Urologist to join three other urologists in our existing practice at HMC. Join us in our mission to provide excellence, leadership, and compassion in the enhancement of health for those we serve.

 

This position will serve as an OHSU Clinical Associate, providing clinical care within the HMC Urology Clinic located in Hillsboro, Oregon. OHSU Clinical Associates are fully embedded physician and advanced practice providers who devote the majority of their time to patient care.

Function/Duties of Position

The appointee shall provide services as a General Urologist at HMC in Hillsboro, OR. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the background, focus, and drive to excel, as well as the ability to provide excellent clinical care to patients at a community hospital.

The appointee is expected to provide an outstanding level of professional performance in quality of clinical care.  Professional performance is delivered in a manner that is compliant with the regulation and guidelines of all relevant regulating bodies (i.e. DNV, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, OHSU IRB, NIH and all other state, federal, and institutional regulatory guidelines.)  The appointee treats all patients, research subjects, trainees and co-workers with dignity and respect.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctorate in medicine (MD) and postdoctoral training
  • Board certified/board-eligible Urologist
  • Able to obtain license and certification with the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners, Drug Enforcement Association certification, and CPR/PALS certification
  • Trained and experienced in management of patients with urologic conditions to include utilization of minimally invasive and open surgical techniques

Hillsboro Medical Center (HMC) is a full service, 215-licensed-bed, not-for-profit hospital where person-centered care is a priority. HMC has proudly served the healthcare needs of Western Washington County for over a century.  Hillsboro Medical Center and clinics employ 1200 individuals and the medical staff is over 700 licensed practitioners including surgical, non-surgical and primary care specialties. It has a fully integrated electronic medical records system (Epic) with OHSU and utilizes the latest diagnostic tools and technology.
