Department Overview

Doernbecher 9S pediatric nurses provide high-quality innovative and compassionate family-centered care for pediatric patients ages newborn to 18 years. Services that admit to Doernbecher 9S include and not limited to General Surgery, ENT, Urology, Gastroenterology, Orthopedics, Cardiology, and Endocrinology.

Function/Duties of Position

Up to $12,000 Hiring Bonus and Relocation Package Available. Must begin work by July 1, 2024 to qualify.

 

BSN rates $49.16-$78.18 per hour, based on education and experience. ADN and MSN rates also available.

 

The OHSU Clinical registered nurse (RN) provides compassionate, evidence-based, and efficient care to individuals, families, communities and patient populations. Required Qualifications

  • External applicants: Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing Degree from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA)
  • Internal ONA applicants: Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Current, unencumbered Oregon State Registered Nurse License
  • BLS and PALS at time of hire and must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) 
  • BLS and PALS must not expire during orientation or probation period, and must have the same expiration date (upload documentation with online application)
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
  • Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English.
  • Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive email, navigate information technology associated with the position, and use Electronic Health Record information and tools

Additional Details

Usual Orientation Time:

  • New Grads 6-8 weeks
  • Specialty Experience 3-4 weeks
  • Experience, but not in specialty area 4 weeks
