As the Support Serive Aide 1 you will provide hospitals and clinics with a clean environment for staff, patients and visitors, by performing custodial duties for all hospitals and clinics, which provides for a quality environment conducive to good patient care.
As the Environmental Services Support Services Aide you will improve the professional image of OHSU's public spaces: keeping the windows and window ledges clean by wiping and dusting; ensuring that the furniture is clean and stays in a pre-determined order in the Tram Atrium, Summit Espresso, Surgery Waiting Lobby and Admitting/Information area or the Starbucks Lobby, located in the lobby level of the DCH and the rest area near the Gift Shop and Sky Bridge Espresso; removing trash from waste baskets and litter from floors in dedicated areas; wiping down garbage cans in public spaces; cleaning public bathrooms inside the hospital; and other duties as assigned.
Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, sinks, tubs, showers, toilets, urinals, hoppers and mirrors. Cleans and sanitizes stainless steel counters, stainless steel partitions, corners, sinks and wall plates. Clean light fixtures, vents, kick plates, appliances and window blinds. Uses approved chemical cleaners and disinfectants per department policy.
Remove trash from waste baskets and litter from floors in dedicated areas. Wipe down garbage cans in public spaces. Empty and clean trash containers, wall mounted recepticles and restock all products. Replenishes dispensers (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, alcohol based hand sanitizer, disposable seat covers).
Responds to unique requests in a customer-focused and timely manner. Utilizes supplies and equipment in a cost effective manner. Effectively performs duties to established benchmarks and quality standards. Adheres to standard work.
Busy enviroment with a lot of interuptions, multiple demands and people interactions. Must demonstrate regular attendance by coming to work on scheduled working days.
