Department Overview

This position will serve as an interventional cardiologist at the Knight Cardiovascular Institute program at Hillsboro Medical Center, located in Hillsboro Oregon.


We are seeking an interventional cardiologist to serve the efforts of OHSU and Hillsboro Medical Center (HMC) in improving the health of Oregonians. In this role you will provide interventional cardiology care in both the ambulatory and inpatient services, perform cath lab procedures and provide cardiac consult services as we develop our collaborative program at HMC.

Function/Duties of Position

  • Serve as a clinical interventional cardiologist. Duties will include in- and out-patient activities, perform cath lab procedures, cardiac consult services, interpretation of echocardiograms, nuclear studies, stress tests, device and medication management as required to provide high-level clinical care to cardiac patients. Fair share of call coverage is expected. 
  • Participate in educational/proctoring activities at HMC in conjunction with clinical need and academic interests. 

Required Qualifications

  • MD/DO

  • Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology

  • Experience as clinical cardiologist

  • Competencies in cardiac cath lab & interventional cardiology procedures and echocardiogram interpretation

  • OR Medical License

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology/Cardiovascular Diseases. 

  • DEA Certificate

  • ACLS/BLS as required for clinical privileges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology (this requirement must be obtained within first 2 years of employment)
