Function/Duties of Position

This position exists within the School of Medicine at OHSU in the Department of Neurology Financial Support Unit.  The purpose of this position is to support the administrative functions of the BENFRA Botanical Dietary Supplements Research Center and a clinical trial funded by the Alzheimers Association.  The administrative coordinator will follow business office policies and procedures and will provide guidance to faculty in this program.  The administrative coordinator will set up, attend and take notes at regular committee meetings, assist with updates to the BENFRA website and cloud database and assist with financial reporting, ordering of supplies and spending for both grants.  The adminitrative coordinator will also assist with clinical trial data entry and participant recruitment and scheduling activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Four years of general office or secretarial experience; OR An Associate’s degree or certificate in office occupations or office technology and two years of general office or secretarial experience; OR A Bachelor’s degree and two years of general office or secretarial experience; OR An equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Proven ability to work well as part of a team, as well as independently; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with high-volume and time sensitive documents; detail-oriented; good customer service skills and customer focus; good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to keep on task in an environment with frequent interruptions

Additional Details

  • Must be able to lift 30+ pounds, sit for prolonged periods of time, and walk to various offices around campus as needed
  • On-site position (location: OHSU Marquam Hill Campus), with occasional remote work possible by agreement
