The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute, Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology is seeking Advanced Practice Providers who will provide clinical management of patients in various outpatient settings within the Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology.

Outpatient APP with focus on Multiple Myeloma and Plasma Cell Malignancies (MM) :
We are seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join the MM team. The MM APP will provide specialized care to patients with multiple myeloma and plasma cell disorders including MGUS, Smoldering Myeloma, AL amyloidosis and POEMS. This individual will work with a team of hematologist / oncologists and other medical professionals.
Treatments for these diseases include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, oral targeted therapies, bispecific antibodies, CAR-T and transplant. The APP will work closely with our clinical research team, attend and participate in research meetings, and see patients on clinical trials. Additionally, this APP will intermittently provide oversight of the infusion unit, responding to acute infusion reactions and urgent medical issues, and perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies.
Schedule: Four 10-hour days per week. Schedule to be determined upon hiring.
Outpatient Genitourinary (GU) APP:
The GU APP manages patient care for genitourinary cancers which include the following: Prostate, renal cell carcinoma, bladder, testicular, and penile cancers. Treatments for these various cancer types have a broad range including hormonal therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, oral targeted therapies, and radio pharmaceuticals. The APP is also responsible for managing side effects from treatments and seeing patients on clinical trials. This APP will also attend research meetings to discuss trials and clinical trial patient related issues. Additionally, this APP may intermittently provide oversight of the infusion unit, responding to acute infusion reactions and urgent medical issues.

Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) APP:
The Center for Hematologic Malignancies (CHM) outpatient clinic provides acute and long-term care to patients who have undergone an autologous or allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT) or received other cellular therapies such as chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy. Seeing up to 12 patients per day, this APP provides care in conjunction with a team comprised of physicians, advanced practice professionals (APPs), RN coordinators, and other allied health professionals. APPs may practice both independently or in a shared-care model with physicians as determined by the needs of the team. Additionally, this APP may be intermittently provide oversight of the infusion unit, responding to acute infusion reactions and urgent medical issues.

Infusion APP:
This position reports to the Physician Leader of the APP team. The purposes of the role are to (1) provide clinical management of patients in the outpatient infusion unit setting in Hematology & Medical Oncology, (2) assure a coordinated, effective, high quality, and efficient care process, (3) use an interdisciplinary team approach to the care of patients, (4) work collaboratively with clinic management on process improvement projects, and (5) provide education to colleagues, staff and students as required.
