The purpose of this job/position is to function as a member of the Rehabilitation Services patient care team by providing occupational therapy services with a focus on neurological population. Services include but are not limited to ADL training, energy conservation, splint fabrication, exercise, sensory integrations and perceptual/cognitive training to assist patients in improving their function in work, leisure and self-care. Therapists evaluate each patient referred, establish treatment goals and objectives, develop and implement the treatment plan, and assist in the process of obtaining DME, assistive devices and post-therapy follow-up. Therapists are expected to supervise therapy interns and to assist with other educational and research activities conducted by the department or the hospital.
