The Social Worker supports the Harm Reduction and BRidges to Care (HRBR) clinic in offering comprehensive, trauma-informed behavioral health interventions tailored to the biopsychosocial needs of patients and families affected by substance use disorder (SUD). Primary responsibilities through direct treatment and coordination of resources may include: substance use disorder assessment and diagnosis, crisis stabilization, motivational interviewing, addiction counseling, and resource referrals. With advance knowledge of SUD interventions, this position will provide consultation and educational programming to both OHSU staff and the wider community while actively participating in continuous quality improvement efforts to provide low-barrier access to quality medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD).
Salary Range: $82,254.38 - $124,555.34
Thorough and working knowledge of: mental health and addiction assessment, treatment planning, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, advocacy and addiction-specific community resources;
Able to accurately utilize established criteria for assessing and assigning a substance use diagnosis; Able to diagnose patients with co-occurring issues
Advanced knowledge in the principles of motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care
Comprehensive understanding of the interrelationship between medical and psychological systems and their impact on health.
Experience working with an underserved adult population experiencing mental illness, substance use, complex psychosocial needs, and chronic illness.
Certificate of Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA) OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required for employees who practice clinical social work.

Valid OR/WA driver’s license with an acceptable driving history and access to a car on a daily basis for home visits
This position is hybrid (mixture of remote/virtual interventions and community-based interactions) and may experience frequent interruptions. The candidate will need to effectively prioritize and multi-task, be able/confident with virtual work environment and balance competing demands from clinic staff and patients.
