The Interventional Radiology (IR) department nurse provides care for both outpatients and inpatients across the age continuum (pediatric to geriatric) who are having diagnostic and /or therapeutic neuro and body interventional radiology procedures. The daily schedule includes both scheduled elective cases and emergent add-on cases which results in a fast changing and dynamic work environment. The IR nurse provides skilled nursing care and sedation services to patients during their time in the department. For inpatient ICU transfers, nursing care may include invasive hemodynamic monitoring, care and management of the ventilated patient, management of vaso active drips and care and management of EVD¿s. The IR nurse must be skilled in recognizing complications or changes in the patient's condition and in communicating and responding effectively in emergent situations. The department provides 24/7 services to patients via on-call staff
The adult sedation team consists of Nurse Practitioners who oversee the administration of moderate sedation by Registered Nurses in a variety of settings for multiple procedure types including, but not limited to, carpal tunnel release, D&C, D&E, and dental procedures. The team works Monday through Friday 0700-1730 with after hour on-call coverage to complete all of the day’s scheduled cases.
Hiring Bonus up to $10,000 DOE and Relocation Package Available. Must begin work by July 1, 2024 to qualify.
$49.16-$78.18 per hour, based on RN Degree and level of experience.
