Department Overview

The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.

Function/Duties of Position

  • This position is primarily responsible for the evaluation of persons having hearing disorders.
  • Proficient in the following areas of testing: CDP, audiometry measures, pure tone, tympanometry, acoustic –reflex testing, electrocochleography (ECoG), and Otoacoustic emissions (OAE).
  • Ability to perform complete audiologic assessment in a manner appropriate to the age and ability of the patient.
  • Performs and interprets tests to determine threshold levels of hearing, audiotory discrimination, middle ear function, auditory brainstem function.
  • Maintains and documents productivity standards set by the Department.
  • Participates in the training of graduate students in audiology fellowship positions, who are engaged in practicum experiences at OHSU.
  • Maintains clean, neat, safe and organized working and treatment area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • The position requires Oregon licensure in Audiology by the Board of Examiners.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) from the American Speech – Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) must be maintained.
  • NPI assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience preferred.
