Department Overview

This position is responsible for specified aspects of the Pediatric Otolaryngology clinical trials under direct supervision of Derek Lam, MD within the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Cancer Surgery. 

Function/Duties of Position

  • Screen, consent and enroll study patients in various clinics, pre-op areas of operating rooms.
  • Collection and preparation of data to include screening and monitoring study patients, pulling data from patient medical records (EPIC) for data input, analysis of data and correcting data queries, bio statistics
  • Administration and upkeep of regulatory documents and meeting with study sponsors/monitors for routine monitoring visits and study audits

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in relevant field OR
  • Associate's  
  • 3 years of relevant experience OR

  • 4 years of relevant experience OR

  • Equivalent combination of training and experience

  • Interaction with patients in a clinical environment, experience with IRB submissions, excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently and be self-motivated, and meticulous attention to detail with data collection and study procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluent in Spanish
