Department Overview

The post holder will work under the guidance of the Simulation and Skills team to support the student learning environment within the Monmouth campus. As directed, the post holder will carry out the functions listed below to ensure that simulation, skills and clinical learning lab operations are delivered as planned. The percentages may vary slightly from term to term depending on campus need.

 

Current student on Monmouth campus required. 

 

Pay: $15.45 per hour

Function/Duties of Position

  • Organize the appropriate stock of learning lab materials
  • Help set up and put away the supplies for lab activities for faculty and student use of the learning lab
  • Help with simulation and skills lab ongoing equipment maintenance
  • Participate in simulation scenarios as an actor or in skills lab as a patient to be assessed by nursing students
  • Help with other projects that facilitate learning activities in the Simulation or Clinical Skills Lab

 

Required Qualifications

  • OHSU School of Nursing sophomore students on Monmouth campus who will be juniors in the academic year 2023-24 are eligible.

  • Organizational skills, flexibility and knowledge of computer software

  • Ability to perform the job duties with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of nursing skills & equipment

Additional Details

  • Work is performed in a campus based simulation or clinical skills suite. Flexible schedule to meet campus requirements.
  • Position requires the ability to walk around campus daily, often moving furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
