The primary mission of the Division of Oncological Sciences (DOS) at OHSU's Knight Cancer Institute is to better understand cancer through basic, translational and population-based research that improves cancer prevention, detection and treatments for all. A Research Assistant 2 position is available for motivated candidates to join the Zhang laboratory (https://www.ohsu.edu/school-of-medicine/zhang-lab/zhang-lab) in DOS. This position will assist in research that shows how temporal, spatial, and dose perturbation of oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes predispose to leukemia development and how could we use the leukemia specific vulnerabilities, including the haploinsufficient phenotype observed in patients with chromosome and copy number deletions to develop synthesize lethal therapeutics.
This is a six month assignment with possibility of extension.
