The Division of Trauma, Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery is one of the largest divisions within the Department of Surgery, comprised of a team of dedicated faculty in support of OHSU as a Level 1 trauma center. Our trauma surgeons provide expert care to the most seriously injured patients in the state, instruct future generations of trauma surgeons, and conduct research into improving and advancing the treatment of trauma patients. Its surgical critical care fellowship program sponsors four fellows each year.

PA Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant training program. Current registration with the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners as a licensed Physician Assistant. Current ACLS certification. DEA certification.
NP Qualifications:
Master Degree in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing in the specialty of Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) from an accredited program. Current RN and NP licensure with the Oregon State Board of Nursing. Current ANCC Board Certification. Current ACLS certification. DEA certification
Required skills and experience: 2 years of experience as a PA or NP in critical care; preference for trauma/surgical critical care experience. Interest in learning advanced clinical skills required to practice in the ICU environment.
The shift length is set at an average of 13 hours 3 times per week that includes nights, weekends and holidays.
