The Regenerative Engineering and Rehabilitation lab of Dr. Karina Nakayama, in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, is recruiting a talented research assistant to join our team. The RA2 will participate in translational studies to evaluate tissue engineered therapies and regenerative materials in small animal injury and exercise models to achieve the goal of musculoskeletal functional recovery. Specifically, they will perform and assist with animal studies, fabricate biomaterials, perform in vitro assays and cell culture, imaging, as well as help with the daily functions of the lab. This position will involve working on collaborative team projects composed of engineers, biologists and clinician scientists.
Data Analysis & Recording
Give oral presentations of research findings at group meetings and assist in the write up of results for publication.
Use computer software to input and manage data for analysis.
Experience working with animal models.
Experience in chemistry and/or material synthesis.
