Department Overview

The Clinical Research Assistant II position will assist the Principal Investigator and Research Project Manager with the coordination of clinical research studies within the Department of Endocrinology. The Clinical Research Assistant II will conduct the day-to-day activities of the research studies, conducting recruitment activities and contacts through mailings and telephone interviews, as well as scheduling research visits in EPIC and with the participants, completing research visits and data entry from research visits. This person will also maintain direct communication with the Research Project Manager about the status of recruitment, visit status and enrollment stats for the studies. This person will work closely with OHSU hospital units that are used for study measures. Other responsibilities will include keeping all study equipment in good working order and maintenance of data tracking systems.

Function/Duties of Position

  • Perform research clinic visits (contacting, scheduling, conducting visits, data entry)
  • Presenting reports of study visit progress to Research Project Manager
  • Additional duties as assigned.  This may include but is not limited to filing and organizing study documents.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in relevant field OR
  • Associate's AND 2 years of relevant experience OR
  • 3 years of relevant experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Experience in working with human subject research.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Competent with MS Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in working with research projects.
  • Scholarly literature reviews.
  • (SOCRA)CCRP, ACRP, Phlebotomy trained.
