The position will provide a qualified person to assume day-to-day reponsibility for the coordinating, organizing and instructing/training candidates for the phlebotomy training program. The incumbent will work closely with the Phlebotomy Manager to coordinate and train new staff/students with their classwork and practicums. These tasks require the incumbent to use a high degree of technical judgment, have good decision making skills, and be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision. In addition to the listed duties, this person must be capable of performing the key responsibilities and performance standards as listed in the Phlebotomy Laboratory Inpatient and Outpatient position descriptions.
Procedure and Training Development
High school diploma or equivalent and completion of phlebotomy training program, including significant time spent in a clinical laboratory rotation.
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT or PBT) certification.
Medical Lab Technician or Medical Lab Scientist certification can serve in place of CPT or PBT certifications.
Compliance with Code of Conduct, Respect in the workplace and Applicable policies, procedures and agreements related to position, department or OHSU as a whole

Salary Range: $57,928.00 - $86,881.60 per year (Commensurate with qualifications, experience and internal equity)
