Function/Duties of Position

As a member of the Department of Neurology, Division of Aging, Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders this position will report to the Division Head.  It requires working jointly as a team with clinicians, technologists, and support staff; educating patients and care providers and empowering them to participate in their care and treatment plans.

 

Duties will include: 

  • Outpatient clinical work within Neurology Department ambulatory clinic specific to the Aging & Alzheimer’s Clinic; position is expected to perform at least six half-day clinic sessions a week. Clinics will include in-person as well as virtual sessions. 80% clinical effort
  • Participate in medical review of incoming referrals.
  • Position will have clinical research specific activities accounting for approximately 20% effort.

 

As a teaching facility, expected to teach medical students and residents in the clinical setting as well as through assigned lectures to be given during the course of the year, per supervisor approval.  Participate in the department needs in area of expertise, attend meetings, serve on committees as directed.

Required Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner:

  • Current and active Nurse Practitioner license for the Oregon Board of Nursing

Physician Assistant:

  • Current and active Physician Assistant license for State of Oregon
