The Clinical Value Analysis Director is the administrative leader for the value analysis function across OHSU's system-wide Value Analysis & Sourcing program and provides functional expertise across a variety of spend categories. The Director is responsible for establishing and executing value analysis-related strategic and operational plans that support the clinical, operational and financial goals of the organization. The Director engages with C-suite leaders, Department Chairs and other clinical and administrative executive and departmental leaders and stakeholders to gain support and alignment for clinical value analysis goals and key initiatives. The director will ensure that all initiatives are compliant with relevant regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Develops and cascades strategies that engage teams and stakeholders in the process of identifying, evaluating and implementing opportunities to reduce cost, optimize revenue and improve quality & outcomes
Oversees the development of qualitative/quantitative analyses and methodologies that deliver product/service standardization and utilization improvements.
Designs and oversees a robust supply and technology request intake and evaluation process that utilizes evidence-based literature, applicable financial, clinical, and operational data and benchmarked best practices necessary for consistent data-driven decisions. Leverages the governance structure that supports the category committees to prioritize the team’s workloads to ensure adequate team bandwidth is focused on proactive efforts.
Oversees the use and development of appropriate technology, workflow tools, analytics and benchmarking solutions to drive best practice value analysis processes and activities.
Develops an active initiative pipeline that supports the clinical, operational and financial goals of the organization. Works with Group Purchasing Organization(s), Distributors and supplier partners to identify cost savings opportunities, program initiatives and evidence-based best practices.
Provides active personnel leadership and oversight that ensures staff are actively engaged, receive timely feedback and have opportunities for training, growth and development. Consistently aligns staff with the Mission, Vision and Values of Supply Chain & Logistics (SC&L) and demonstrates how the team delivers value within the supply chain function and beyond. Ensures value analysis activities and processes are well-defined and monitored and that its roles and responsibilities are aligned properly within SC&L, actively addressing any improvement opportunities.

This is a remote, work from home, position. Hours are 8-5, Monday through Friday. Local travel to OHSU's
locations throughout the Portland area will be a part of this position. Occasional travel to conferences may be
required.
