The Unit Sponsored Projects Analyst 1 (USPA1) is part of the Sponsored Agreement Team (SAT) within Women’s & Children’s Services. The SAT groups provide comprehensive sponsored project administrative and financial management (both pre-award & post award) for the primary appointed faculty’s grants, contracts, clinical trials, and sponsored project programs. The USPA1 specifically supports post award administration and financial management. This can include, but is not limited to: pre-award budget assistance, routine financial reporting, expense reconciliation, effort certification & labor adjustments, billing & revenue tracking, expense review & approval, and other administrative tasks as needed. The USPA1 is the first level of a two level series. It is distinguished from the higher levels by a lower level of decision making, less complex assignments, closer supervision, and a narrower scope of responsibility. Employees at this level split their time between analytical and procedural activities.
