The Knight Cardiovascular Institute (KCVI) is recognized as a top integrated center for cardiovascular clinical care, translational research and professional training in all aspects of heart and vascular disease. Guided by a multi-disciplinary approach, researchers and clinicians drive a vibrant translational research program, which focuses on delivering the latest knowledge and cutting edge care to patients. Specifically, research at KCVI seeks to improve patient outcomes by achieving earlier diagnosis of disease, more accurate monitoring of its progression, and tailoring therapy to the molecular basis of disease.
Clinical. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated cardiologist, specializing in the care of patients with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and/or Cardiac Amyloidosis, within the Division of Cardiology and KCVI. This position will be expected to take a fair share of call, as assigned, with other faculty on nights, weekends, and holidays for the general cardiology service. The Division Head will assign clinical duties.
Research. Faculty interested in clinical, translational or basic science research are encouraged to apply. Please provide an outline of your current research interests, scholarly activities and history of successful research funding. OHSU & KCVI provide resources available for start-up research and on-going support via established processes and opportunities.
Education. OHSU is a teaching facility, and this position will be expected to teach medical students and residents in the clinical setting as well as through assigned lectures to be given during the course of the year. The Director of Education within the Division of Cardiology will provide teaching assignments.
Administration. Administrative and other duties may be assigned based on division needs and areas of expertise and interest, including opportunities to participate and to serve on institutional committees.
