Function/Duties of Position

The Peer Tutor responsibilities may include the following:

  • Individual Tutoring: Provide personalized academic support in designated subjects
  • Group Study Sessions: Lead group study sessions to encourage collaborative learning
  • Resource Development: Create study guides and educational materials
  • Feedback and Guidance: Offer feedback on assignments and advise on study strategies
  • Faculty Collaboration: Coordinate with faculty to align tutoring with course objectives

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in an OHSU Graduate Program (minimum 4.5 credit hours)
  • Experience with course content
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must read, speak and understand the English language
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Standard office, classroom, and conference room conditions
  • Meeting with students and instructors
  • Hours will vary based on the needs of the students and tutors
  • Tutoring sessions can be both in-person and virtual
