Department Overview

Under direct supervision, primarily performs basic research or lab activities similar to a Research Assistant 1 or Lab Aide. 

Function/Duties of Position

Assist Simulation and Lab staff with:

  • Maintaining clean and organized lab spaces
  • Cleaning, recycling and disposal of supplies
  • Fulfilling teaching bin request for learning activities
  • Restock basic lab supplies (gloves, linens, hand sanitizer, etc.)

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours)
  • Have successfully passed the course in which tutoring is occurring with at least a grade of a “A” or high “B”
  • Maintain an OHSU GPA of at least a 3.0
  • Recommendation of OHSU faculty member
  • Current OHSU School of Nursing Student Undergraduate Junior or Senior level
  • Possess the ability and willingness to work with individuals and groups of students from diverse cultural, economic, and academic backgrounds.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
