The CNA assists the patient, patients' families, nursing staff and other support staff to assure the delivery of safe, quality care in alignment with the mission and vision of Doernbecher Children's Hospital and OHSU.

The Ancillary Float Pool CNA's travel to all units across the OHSU and DCH Portland campus. New hires to float pool will start in the Adult Acute Care units, and after 6 months gaining floating experience will expand to the ED, ICU and Pediatric units. This position requires strong attention to detail and flexibility as float pool employees do not know which unit they could be placed in on a day to day basis.
