This FSW position requires constant monitoring of cleanliness to ensure department standards are correctly maintained. This position covers a large geographical area of third floor café and culinary department. Some of the job duties will include but not limited: sweeping and mopping of floors, emptying trash, compost and recycling bins and relocating them to the correct disposal locations, including the cardboard compactor, compost barrel location and garbage and recycling dumpsters. This position will also be responsible heavy routine cleaning of sinks and surface areas, the removal of dirty linen, replace paper towels and soap in dispensers, restock custodian closet with cleaning supplies and routine maintenance of cleaning multiple offices. The FSW must be able to work independently without Constance supervision.

 

Safety Tasks: The FSW may also be responsible for keeping areas of the café, patient food services area and main kitchen safe. They may have to direct traffic through the use of cones, tape or signage to keep patrons from entering an unsafe area. For instance, the FSW must direct customers away from spills or wet areas. They must also respond to urgent situations, such as spills, emergency supplies needs and equipment maintenance needs. He/she needs to have good communication skills and alert Managers/lead worker of all concerns.

Required Qualifications

  • 6 Months Food Service Experience
  • Good understanding of the English language (written and spoken)
  • Math, Customer service, Cleanliness and Food handling skills
  • Food handlers Card or Servsafe certificate
  • Compliance with Code of Conduct, Respect in the workplace and Applicable policies, procedures and agreements related to position, department or OHSU as a whole

  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
